HYDERABAD: Devotees thronged to temples to celebrate Vaikunta Ekadasi on Monday across the two states. A gold crown weighing 1.792 was presented by Telangana Finance Minister T Harish Rao to the Sri Venkateshwara Swamy Temple in Siddipet on the occasion Vaikunta Ekadasi on Monday.
The temple management had contributed one kilo of gold and the remaining was contributed by other donors besides. Harish Rao. The crown is worth Rs one crore.
Vaishnava temples situated in Godavari region were decked up to celebrate Vaikunta Ekadasi. Other famous temples like Yadadri, Annavaram, Bhadrachalam, Dwaraka Tirumala, Mangalgiri, Bhadradri and Anantapuram witnessed devotees flocking to offer their prayers to the deity. The temple managements have made necessary arrangements for a hassle-free darshan.
