JUKKAL: Residents of Jukkal constituency in Kamareddy district have been struggling with a severe water shortage for the past five days, leaving many in distress even during the festive season.

The ongoing disruption in water supply from the Mission Bhagiratha scheme has forced locals to wait for hours at water tankers to meet their daily needs. Many expressed frustration, stating that women, in particular, have been hit hardest by the crisis, often spending long hours fetching water from faraway places. On the occasion of the festival, some women even had to leave their families and guests to stand in queues at the tankers, highlighting the severity of the situation.

Locals pointed out that such issues did not arise during the previous government’s tenure when water was readily available. They are now urging the current administration to take immediate action to resolve the drinking water crisis.

The water shortage has caused significant disruption in daily life, with residents demanding that the government respond quickly to alleviate their hardships and restore a steady drinking water supply.
