HYDERABAD: "Women's welfare under BRS rule in last 10 years serves as an example for the entire nation," said BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Friday, marking International Women's Day.

Wishing all women a Happy International Women's Day, KTR emphasised that women were not just a part of the sky but the entire sky itself. He highlighted women's welfare initiatives under the last decade of BRS rule, praising the comprehensive support provided by the KCR government from newborns to grandmothers.

KTR emphasised the BRS government's commitment to women's well-being through programs such as providing nutrition kits for pregnant women and ensuring a warm welcome for baby girls, akin to Goddess Lakshmi's blessings, by distributing benefits such as the KCR Kit and Rs. 13,000 in cash.

The empowerment of women in Telangana through initiatives like Lakshmi Kataksha and Saraswati Kataksha, along with the establishment of institutions like Gurukulas and support for entrepreneurs through initiatives like We Hub, showcased the government's dedication to women's welfare in the state.

Initiatives such as She Teams, 50 percent reservation for women, and the Kalyana Lakshmi scheme marked a significant shift in women's empowerment under the BRS Government. BRS's efforts to combat female foeticide and child marriages, coupled with initiatives such as Mission Bhagiratha for clean water accessibility and support for Anganwadi and Asha workers with competitive salaries, demonstrated the BRS government's holistic approach to women's welfare.

The recognition from Niti Aayog for schemes like Arogya Lakshmi further validated the government's efforts,' he added. KTR said that Telangana under BRS rule had not only prioritised women's welfare but also stood as a pillar of support for women in various stages of life, led by the visionary leadership of KCR.
