165 errant hospitals seized in Telangana crackdown
10 hospitals were seized in Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy, 16 in Sanga Reddy, 15 in Kothagudem, and 17 in Nalgonda.

HYDERABAD: The Telangana health department seized 165 private hospitals, fined 106 hospitals, and issued notices to 1,163 hospitals on Wednesday.
Inspectors from the district medical and health departments went around the state inspecting 3,810 private clinics, diagnostic centres, and hospitals. They allegedly discovered numerous flaws.
The State Health Department received a report from the district administration and made it public on Tuesday. The majority of the confiscated hospitals, according to reports, are in the Nagarkurnool district. This district has 54 private hospitals, 41 of which have been confiscated. 10 hospitals were seized in Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy, 16 in Sanga Reddy, 15 in Kothagudem, and 17 in Nalgonda.
Notices were served on 274 private hospitals in Hyderabad, 124 in Karimnagar, and 107 in Ranga Reddy. The state health department intends to conduct another inspection drive soon in order to take further action against private hospitals that engage in irregularities.
