Balineni scotches rumours linking him with Jana Sena

ONGOLE: Scotching rumours about his political future, former Minister and YSRCP MLA from Ongole Balineni Srinivasa Reddy clarified that he would sail only with YS Jaganmohan Reddy as long as he was in politics.

He condemned the speculation in a section of media that he would be joining the Jana Sena and described it as 'unfortunate'. Media reports began to float around after the MLA attended a coordination meeting organised by YSRCP leaders of the Giddalur Assembly Constituency. The meeting was held to discuss the issues pertaining to the constituency.

Bilaneni said that some news channels spread the false news that I was joining the Jana Sena after I attended the YSRCP meeting. He asserted that his political journey was only going to be with YS Jaganmohan Reddy and that he would prefer quitting politics than deviating from this line.

"I became an MLA because of the break YS Rajasekhar Reddy gave me in politics. As long as I am in politics, I will stay with Jagan or else, I will leave politics", said Srinivasa Reddy.

Interestingly, the former minister also accepted a handloom challenge thrown at him by Jana Sena chief and Power Star Pawan Kalyan.

Referring to that, Balineni lamented that he was being unnecessarily dragged into issues that he was no way related to. Stating that he had undertaken several initiatives in the past to promote handloom fabrics, he said that he had only extended his support to Pawan Kalyan's tweet on handloom clothes.

Srinivasa Reddy said that politics of fence-sitting had never been his cup of tea. "As a party coordinator, I have been assigned 22 Assembly constituencies by Jagan Mohan Reddy and I will work hard to win those constituencies," said Bilaneni.

Meanwhile, the MLA also assured that Gorantla Madhav's viral video is under police inquiry. Though the truth is still uncertain, the party will take due action to resolve the matter added the MLA.
