BJP MP Arvind's convoy attacked in Jagityal
Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Arvind faced yet another bitter experience during his visit to the flood-affected areas of Jagityal district on Friday.
NIZAMABAD: Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Arvind faced yet another bitter experience during his visit to the flood-affected areas of Jagityal district on Friday. A large number of leaders and activists of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) attacked his convoy and prevented him from proceeding further. The incident happened at Erdandi of Ibrahimpatnam mandal.
The glass windows of Arvind's car were smashed before the police intervened and provided passage for the MP's convoy.
BJP state president Bandi Sanjay condemned the incident. He alleged that the BJP leaders were being attacked for questioning the dictatorial policies of the TRS government and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. The BJP state president said that the TRS government in the state is nearing its end and asserted that they would continue to protest and fight against KCR's rule.
Unfazed by the attack, Arvind continued his tirade against the ruling party. He alleged that the government lands issued earlier to Godavari flood victims here had been grabbed by those close to local MLA Vidyasagar Rao and Minister Indrakaran Reddy. He expressed the suspicion that he was attacked today as the TRS men feared he would rake up this issue during his visit.
