HYDERABAD: Former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) has said that the BRS is the only force fighting for the rights of Telangana and that the BRS MPs should raise their voice for Telangana's rights for the upcoming Parliamentary sessions.
The BRS held its Parliamentary preparatory meeting at KCR's Erravelli farmhouse on Friday.
The meeting was attended by Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha Parliamentary Party Leaders including K Keshava Rao, Nama Nageshwar Rao and party MPs Ramulu, BB Patil, Pasunuri Dayakar, Manne Srinivas Reddy, KR Suresh Reddy, Venkatesh Netakani, Badugula Lingaya Yadav, Vaviraju Ravichandra, Maloth Kavitha, Parthasarathy Reddy, Joginapalli Santhosh Kumar, Devarkonda Damodar Rao, Gaddam Ranjith Reddy along with working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) and Harish Rao.
KCR asked MPs to make strong arguments on behalf of Telangana in the week-long Parliamentary sessions that would begin at the end of this month.
He said that the BRS had a history of fighting for the implementation of the pending promises of State's bifurcation along with allocation of river water and transfer of common assets.
He clarified that BRS MPs once again have the responsibility to prevent and protect the rights of Telangana.
In the meeting which lasted for about three hours, KCR directed the MPs on the strategies to be adopted in both the houses of the Parliament and to plan for the upcoming elections.
