Chandrababu Naidu, along with wife Bhuvanewwari, performs Rajasyamala Yaagam

AMARAVATHI: Politics and sentiment are inherently intertwined for ages. Nobody is an exclusion to that. All those who helmed in their domains in politics have always reposed enormous trust in the divine intervention to ward off evil that haunted them.

On Friday, N Chandrababu Naidu, president of the Telugu Desam Party, along with his wife Bhuvaneswari, performed ‘Rajasyamala Yaagam” at his Undavilli residence on the bank of the Krishna.

The pundits formally got the Nara couple to offer prayers marking commencement of the ritual with a ‘sankalpam’ (initiation).

The Yaagam (holy fire) will be performed by 50 Ritwiks for three days. The ritual would end with “Poirnaahuti” on Sunday.

The Rajasyamala Yaagam is believed to be powerful and fetches them power.

This Yaagam was performed by Y S Jaganmohan Reddy in 2019 under the guidance of pontiff of Sarada Peetham Swami Swaroopanandendra. KCR and Revanth Reddy also performed the Yaagam.
