Chandrababu Naidu casts vote in President's poll

AMARAVATI: Telugu Desam Party president and former chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu exercised his ballot right in the Presidential election here on Monday. He was accompanied by TDP MLAs who also cast their vote.

K Atchennaidu, N Ramanayudu, Gadde Rammohan Rao, Ganta Srinivasa Rao, N Chinarajappa, Payyavula Kesav and Adireddy Bhavani were among the TDP legislators who took part in the exercise. The TDP, like the ruling YSRCP, has extended support to the NDA candidate Draupadi Murmu for the country's top post.

Out of the total strength of 175 in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly, 161 MLAs exercised their voting right until 12:30 pm. Kandukuri MLA Mahidhar Reddy, who was unable to be present in Amaravati, cast his vote in the polling centre at the Telangana state Assembly. The results of the Presidential poll will be announced on July 21.
