KADAPA: Maintaining that the murder of Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy's paternal uncle, YS Vivekananda Reddy, is a case study, said former chief minister and TDP national president Nara Chandrababu Naidu, on Tuesday, and felt that those who murdered Viveka should be punished sooner than later.

Addressing the TDP Zone-5 meeting at Kadapa, Chandrababu Naidu said that it was the responsibility of everyone to punish in the people's court those who resorted to killings and tried to escape from punishment. "How peace rallies can be taken out when those who are involved in murder are summoned for inquiry," the TDP supremo asked.

Observing that Jagan “is a demon haunting the State,” Naidu stated that he was minting money in the name of pressing buttons. “The total amount of corruption of Jagan, his Cabinet Ministers and his party MLAs is a whooping Rs 4 lakh cr,” the TDP supremo alleged and said that the financial burden imposed on the people in the past four years was Rs 5 lakh cr while the State's total debt burden was Rs 10 lakh cr.

The TDP president said that those who had strived hard for the progress of the party should get proper recognition. He made it clear that those who worked hard could alone come closer to him and the people who were the sufferers of this Government in various ways should be given certain assurances.

Lauding Ramgopal Reddy for his work in the recent Legislative Council polls for the Graduate Constituencies, Naidu said that Ramgopal had made possible what was thought to be impossible. After the Council polls, the TDP was marching ahead in 108 Assembly segments, the party chief said and stated that this Government, which had come to power four years ago, was moving ahead with murderous politics by creating troubles for the people.

Expressing concern over the control of mafia groups on sand, cement and iron, Naidu pointed out that the State Government itself was manufacturing, supplying and selling liquor. The person, who promised total prohibition, was ironically now minting money on liquor sale, the TDP supremo alleged.

The entire murder case of the brother of a former chief minister, who is also a former MP and MLA and the paternal uncle of Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy was a mystery now, he said and felt that such atrocious incident would not happen in any part of the world.

The day when he was done to death, it was termed as a heart stroke.

"When the daughter of the victim wanted a post-mortem on the body, the blame was passed on to me in the name of Narakasura Raktha Charitra. Every attempt was made to escape from the murder case even by resorting to caste politics and this culture started only in Pulivendula," Naidu remarked.

Recalling how the gag order was obtained from the court and how CBI probe was demanded into the murder, the former chief minister said that ultimately Jagan used this in the last Assembly polls as a weapon besides enacting drama with the attack on him. Now those involved in the murder were stooping so low that they were even threatening the CBI, Naidu pointed out.

Expressing confidence that the TDP was going to win the coming Assembly polls with a thumping majority, Naidu said that he would take the responsibility of giving proper recognition to those who worked hard for the progress of the TDP. He asked the party leaders and activists to instill confidence among the youth and other sections of society who were now feeling frustrated.
