HYDERABAD: BRS leader Manne Krishank has accused Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy of bringing fraudulent companies to Telangana.

Addressing a press conference at Telangana Bhavan on Wednesday, Krishank strongly condemned the Chief Minister for inviting Singapore-based Meinhardt Group to Telangana to undertake the Musi Riverfront Development Project. He pointed out that a lookout notice had been issued by Interpol against Dr. Nasim Shahzad, Chairman of Meinhardt, along with his son Omer Shahzad, CEO of the same company, among other individuals in Pakistan.

Krishnak alleged that heads of several top companies who had dealt with Meinhardt Group, including Omer Shahzad, in the past, had reported on social media platforms like LinkedIn that the company was fraudulent. It has been accused of non-payment for services, outsourcing work to other companies and individuals without consent, and other corporate frauds. He said it was highly shocking that such a fraudulent company with a shady background was allowed entry into the Secretariat, and the Chief Minister held a meeting by sitting next to wanted international criminals.

Calling the Chief Minister as "Harshad Revanth Mehta", he said the CM was inclined towards awarding the Musi Riverfront project to Meinhardt, whose directors are absconding in a money laundering case. The group was involved in a scam in Jharkhand and was also facing a probe in Pakistan for cheating investors.

The BRS leader also pointed out that when TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu became Chief Minister of truncated Andhra Pradesh in 2014, he went to Singapore, and the first company he invited to the State was Meinhardt Group. He alleged that Revanth Reddy was following in the footsteps of his master. He said that the Congress party was yet to clarify on the investments by the Adani Group in Congress-ruled Telangana State, as AICC leader Rahul Gandhi repeatedly accused Gautam Adani of being a cheat and a fraud. Further, he said most of the investments that Revanth Reddy claimed to have roped in at Davos were shady, including the "investments" from a fake Godi India company.

Krishnak also condemned Congress leaders for criticising former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, BRS Working President K Taraka Rama Rao, and others. He said Jeevan Reddy, who lost Assembly elections, had been trying hard to hit the headlines by criticising the BRS. Similarly, he said former MLA Mynampally Hanumanth Rao was targeting KTR with baseless allegations. He said Mynampally mentioned the BBA as his educational qualification in one election affidavit and changed it to intermediate in the next elections. This time, Mynampally did not mention anything about educational qualification. He said such a person was questioning the academic qualification of KTR.

He said Congress leaders had been fighting among themselves to get party tickets for their kin. He said the Congress leaders were not honest towards people and were just trying to stay in the news by targeting BRS top leaders like KCR, KTR, and Harish Rao.
