Congress plans massive show in Hyderabad with Sonia, Rahul Gandhi on September 17

A Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting too is on the agenda on September 16 and 17 as the State is slated for polls

HYDERABAD: The Telangana Congress is mulling to organise a massive show in Hyderabad on September 17 on the occasion of National Liberation Day or like the BJP would like to call it- Hyderabad Liberation Day. The party is planning to invite Former Congress President Sonia Gandhi, MP Rahul Gandhi and current President Mallikarjun Kharge. The party high command has apparently acceded to this request.

Last year, Telangana Congress chief Revanth Reddy unveiled the party's version of 'Telangana Thalli' statue at Gandhi Bhavan. The statue was draped in a Tricolour saree and had plants native to the region.
