Discord brewing between TDP, Jana Sena MLA aspirants; Pawan Kalyan reportedly announces 4 nominees
Are internal dissensions within the TDP-Jana Sena alliance slowly simmering? Situation seems to be so with sparks flying between the TDP and Janasena
HYDERABAD: Are internal dissensions within the TDP-Jana Sena alliance slowly simmering? Situation seems to be so with sparks flying between the TDP and Janasena leaders aspiring for tickets in different places.
While TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu has suggested to his party men that they should be prepared for “sacrifices” and he will take care of them after the elections in view of the alliances, the TDP aspirants are cut up with this.
At least some of them are airing their disgust over the appeal of their boss to adjust to the situation citing their loyalty and seniority to the party. Some senior leaders are not making any bones about their resentment over such appeasement of the Jana Sena.
Pawan Kalyan has already asserted that “honorable number” will be taken by the Jana Sena as part of the alliance. But, Chandrababu is under pressure to say that the number he gives is very respectable. Now, the BJP is almost centrally coming into the alliance. The real game begins now.
When it comes to some specific Assembly seats, the alliance partners are not yielding ground to the others, and are sticking to their guns, even before formal negotiations have commenced.
Senior leaders of both parties — the TDP and the Jana Sena — are issuing an ultimatum to their respective leaders suggesting that “Deny us the seat and we will show our strengths and see how the official candidates can pull it through.”
If the two parties cannot hammer out the differences at seat sharing level, the bigger question staring at the combine if how they can ensure a vote transfer between the parties.
Former minister and first batch (1983) of TDP MLA Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary is asking why should sacrifices be made only by TDP leaders? He is thinking aloud that even the Jana Sena should be prepared for sacrifices.
He is pointing it out that Chandrababu has already given clarity to the Jana Sena about which seats will be given to the latter.

“We don’t need to respond, just because someone or the other is aspiring for a seat,” he reportedly remarked.
Butchaiah Chaudhary is currently the sitting MLA from Rajahmundry Rural seat. Kandula Lakshmi Durgesh from Jana Sena is also vying with Chowdary for the same seat.
Angered by this, Buchaiah Chowdary wants to know how can he be denied the ticket.
Claiming that he is one of the founding members of the party, he has asserted that a sitting seat cannot be given in the alliance to the Jana Sena.
He said that he’s not bothered about what Durgesh would think and how he would react. On thenohh their hand, he said Jana Sena should also be prepared for sacrifices in the deal.m
Butchaiah Chaudhary explained that anyone could expect a seat, but only one would get it. He advised Durgesh to understand that he had won six times.
He hinted that Durgesh could seek Rajansgaram seat.

The contest seems to be cutthroat between the aspirants of the two parties even in the Assembly constituencies of Kakinada City, Kakinada Rural, Ramachandrapuram, Mandapeta, Pithapuram, Mummidivaram, Razole, and Rajanagaram.
SVSN Varma of the TDP is getting ready to contest as an independent candidate, if the seat is given to Jana Sena.
Now the BJP is entering into the alliance with the TDP and the Jana Sena which would further complicate the matters.
There wrestling for seats from three parties will surface in their fullest form once the pact is officially announced.
Meanwhile, Muddaraboina Venkateswara Rao has been dumped by the TDP to accommodate YSRCP MLA from Penamaluru Assembly constituency Kolusu Parthasarathi. He was denied the ticket by the YSRCP and he naturally went adrift to the TDP.
Quite obviously, Muddaraboina is joining the YSRCP Congress and the announcement of his joining is a mere formality.
Meanwhile, unconfirmed reports suggest that Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan has announced four candidates on behalf of his party in four different Assembly seats without the consent of the TDP and Chandrababu Naidu.
The actor reportedly finalised the candidacies of YSRCP MLC Vamsi Krishna Srinivas, who had recently joined the Jana Sena, from Bheemili, Panchakarla Ramesh Babu from Pendurthi, Sundarapu Satish from Gajuwaka, and Sundarapu Vijaya Kumar from Yalamanchili.
This, if true, will be either dealt with seriously by the TDP or it might approve of this unilateral decision grudgingly, covering it up saying it was cleared by Naidu.
The TDP had to endorse the announcement of nominees by Pawan Kalyan in the case of Rajanagaram and Razole Assembly seats in East Godavari districts. Both parties have yet to confirm or deny the information about the allotment of the four seats in Visakhapatnam district.
