Drones banned around HICC, Parade Grounds: BJP fined

HYDERABAD: Flying if drones or all varieties have been banned in HICC area in view of the visit of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Union Home Ministry announced that paragliders, drones and microlight aircraft,
guided by remote controls were banned around a five-km radius of HICC and also Parade Grounds. The HICC is the venue for the BJP's national executive meetings on July 2 and 3. The Prime Minister would address a public meeting at Parade Grounds on July 3.
No drone would be permitted in any wedding or events. The police were out on a high alert and they were checking at all function halls between HICC and Parade Grounds.
Heavy security arrangements are being made as several Union Ministers, Chief Ministers of many States and dignitaries and elected representatives of the BJP are descending on the city. The Prime Minister's place of stay has yet to be decided.
GHMC fines BJP
Meanwhile, the GHMC authorities levied a fine of Rs.3,20,000 on the BJP for putting up flexes and banners welcoming the BJP delegates and the Prime Minister and other leaders. A countdown digital display board put up a the Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Bhavan, the State BJP Headquarters, at Nampally was fined Rs.55,000.
The EVDM officials levied the fines as there was a ban on banners and flexes and putting them up was a violation of rule of law.
