KCR celebrates Raksha Bandhan with sisters at Pragathi Bhavan

HYDERABAD: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao celebrated Raksha Bhandan on the occasion of Rakhi Pournami along with his sisters at Pragathi Bhavan on Friday.
KCR's wife Shobha accorded a traditional welcome to her sisters-in-law on their arrival at the Chief Minister's residence. KCR's elder sisters Lalithamma, Lakshmamma and Jayamma and younger sister Vinodamma applied 'thilakam' (vermillion) on his forehead and then tied rakhis on his right hand.
Later, the Chief Minister touched the feet of his elder sisters as a mark of respect and the latter extended their blessings to both KCR and his wife.
The occasion also saw the participation of KCR's grandchildren Himanshu and Alekhya who were seen in traditional attire. Alekhya tied a rakhi to Himanshu before they were blessed by the KCR couple and other elders present there.
Their mother and KTR's wife Sailima also took part in the celebrations.
