KCR hip replacement surgery successful, recovery in 6-8 weeks
Former Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), who suffered a hairline fracture in the hip after slipping and falling on late Thursday night, underwent a successful surgery at Yashoda Hospital here on Friday evening.

The recovery process is expected to take about about six-eight weeks, doctors treating him said.
The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) president slipped and fell in the washroom at his Erravalli farmhouse after midnight.
A medical bulletin from Yashoda Hospital said, "The surgery was performed by our team of senior orthopedic surgeons, anesthesiologists and burses. He (KCR) has tolerated the surgery well and was stable haemodynamically throughout the procedure.
"Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao garu has been shifted to the room after successfully completing surgery and is presently recuperating in his room. He is receiving routine post-operative care including IV fluids, prophylactic antibiotics and pain medication.
"Plan for ambulation, physiotherapy and nutrition will be designed based on assessment tomorrow. The usual course of recovery is expected to be six to eight weeks," it added.
