HYDERABAD: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao participated in a mass recital of the National Anthem at Abids circle on Tuesday. The event was held across the state as part of the fortnight-long Swatantra Bharata Vajrotsavalu organised by the State Government.

Vajrotsava Committee Chairman K Keshava Rao, Ministers Mahmood Ali, Srinivas Goud, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi and Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar were among the dignitaries present on this occasion.

At the stroke of 11:28 am, KCR and other participants joined thousands of students from various educational institutions in singing the national anthem in one voice. Patriotic fervour gripped the entire area as the Abids area reverberated with the rendition. With KCR leading from the front, chants of "Bolo Swatantra Bharat Ki Jai" rent the air.

Vajrotsava Committee Chairman Keshava Rao appealed to people to make the valedictory function of the Vajrotsavalu at LB Stadium on August 22 a grand success. CM KCR will deliver the keynote address in the function, he said.
