Elections will be conducted using EVMs and VVPATs, and the model code of conduct will be immediately put into effect.

HYDERABAD: The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Monday announced the schedule for Assembly by-elections in Telangana, Maharashtra, Bihar, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Odisha on Monday.
By-elections will be held in six states, according to the Election Commission. The election will be held on November 3, 2022, and the results will be announced on November 6, 2022.
The gazette notification will be issued on October 7, and the deadline for nominations is October 14. Scrutiny will take place the following day, while the deadline for withdrawal of nominations is October 17.
The Electoral Rolls for the six Assembly Constituencies will be used for these elections. The Commission has decided to use EVMs and VVPATs in all polling stations for the bye-elections and and the model code of conduct will be immediately put into effect. A considerable number of EVMs and VVPATs have been made available, and every effort has been made to ensure that the polls run smoothly with the assistance of these machines.
