NALGONDA: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Telangana has caught a medical officer red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs. 3,00,000.
According to the ACB police, Dr. Lavudya Lachu, Superintendent of Government General Hospital (GGH), Nalgonda, was caught red-handed when he demanded and accepted bribe amount of Rs. 3,00,000 from the complainant Rapolu Venkanna.
Venkanna is a medical distributor in Nalgonda who supplies medicines and hospital material to the GGH.

The Superintendent allegedly demanded the bribe amount for doing a favour to the distributor. The ACB raided the residence of Lacchu at Nalgonda and recovered the tainted bribe amount from his bag. The ACB conducted the raid at 8.40 am on February 16.
His both hands yielded positive result when notes on which phenolphthalein is sprinkled and when the sodium carbonate was poured on his hands they turned pink establishing that he had taken the money.
Searches are going on in the house of Dr Lacchu.
