Telangana DGP foresees disintegration of Maoist party due to leadership crisis
Several members of the Central Committee had age-related illnesses.
HYDERABAD: A leadership crisis within the CPI (Maoist) party will probably cause it to fall apart on its own, said Telangana Director General of Police (DGP) M Mahender Reddy on Saturday.
After senior Maoist leader Aluri Usha Rani surrendered, DGP Mahender Reddy addressed the media and anticipated that the Communist Party of India (Maoist), which was currently banned, would disintegrate on its own due to a number of issues, including the top leadership's age-related illnesses and a lack of ideological fanaticism among the lower-level and middle-level ranks.
The Telangana DGP claimed that there was a conflict between the People's War Group (PWG) and the Maoist Communist Centre of India (MCC). No outside force would be required to bring down the party, according to the Director-General of Police, who believed that the party would disintegrate due to a lack of efficient leadership.
According to Reddy, the senior leadership had switched to a self-preservation mode, especially after 2014, and younger cadre had also been avoiding the organisation, claiming ground intel and integration of Maoists into the mainstream of life.
Additionally, he said that Usha Rani had told them that there was no leadership and no one to carry forward the party's agenda. Many senior Maoist party officials attempted to flee the organisation as they awaited permission to surrender, but some of them were held back and offered counselling by the party members. "We can only speculate as to how many people are waiting for permission to surrender, given that it took Usha Rani 2.5 years to obtain the party's consent."
Several members of the Central Committee had age-related illnesses. The arrests, killings, and surrenders of important and senior officials resulted in organisational and military setbacks for the CPI (Maoist) organisation.
"There were still a lot of party members from Telugu states, mostly in Chattisgarh. "I urge the Maoist cadres to reintegrate into thre mainstream, make significant contributions to the development of the nation, and benefit from the state's rehabilitation process, which includes providing immediate relief with an acceptable amount and other support measures.
"I strongly urge the senior party members, who are ailing, to obtain proper services and medical assistance offered by the Telangana administration,"said the DGP
