JANGAON: Telangana State BJP president Bandi Sanjay on Thursday sensationally claimed that those disrespecting Bhagavad Gita at funerals would not be spared. He even claimed that they would resort to physical assault if it was played in Vaikunta Rathams and at funerals.
Sanjay, who is in the middle of his Praja Sangrama Yatra, entered Jangaon district on Thursday. On the occasion, he met the temple priests and learned about their hardships.
While reacting to the plight of priests in the state, Bandi Sanjay made these sensational comments. He said that a Brahman Corporation would be established in Telangana once BJP came to power.
The BJP state chief questioned as to what was stopping the TRS government from helping the priests when Imams were getting their due respect in the state. He was incensed over the government's attitude towards priests.
Bandi Sanjay promised to support poor Brahmins after Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) comes to power in Telangana state and also assured the Gouda community of adequate measures to ensure their welfare. The BJP state chief met the Yadav community leaders also and promised his party's support.
Bandi Sanjay, who participated in a public meeting in Jangaon town, paid tributes to martyrs Sama Jagan Mohan Reddy, Chancharapu Ravinder Reddy, Nellutla Narasimha Rao and Venkat.
