TS Intermediate results 2022: Girls outshine boys

HYDERABAD: Telangana Education minister Sabitha Indra Reddy released the Intermediate first and second-year results on Tuesday. Out of a total of 9,28,262 students across the state who appeared for the exams in the first and second years combined, 5,90,827 of them passed. The minister said that 63.32 percent of students passed in the first year and 67.82 percent in the second year respectively where the girls outshone the boys.

The number of students who appeared for the first year examination is 4,64,892 of which 2,94,378 passed with a pass percentage of 63.32. While the pass percentage of girls was 72.13, only 54.20 percent of boys cleared the exams. While coming to intermediate second-year results, out of a total of 4,63,370 students who appeared for the exam, 2,95,949 students declared passed with a pass percentage of 67.88 including girls pass percentage of 75.86 and boys with 60 percent.

According to district-wise data, Medchal district stood first followed by Hanmakonda district in in the first-year results. The minister also clarified that Intermediate classes would start on July 11. The supplementary exams are scheduled to be held from August 1.
