Video- "KCR is a man of lies": Bandi Sanjay
He accused the state government of building police stations, revenue offices and other official buildings on the lands of poor farmers.
HYDERABAD: "Here's the seat you asked for. Now, solve the problems," Telangana's Bhartiya Janata Party chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar said taking a dig at Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
"The Dharani portal was introduced to eliminate corruption. However, it was just a selfish move by KCR. The portal is doing no good to people. Farmers who had lands for 40-50 years are now facing issues due to mistakes in the survey. Over 15 lakh acres have not been surveyed yet and there are faults in 50 percent of the surveys which have been done. The farmers can't go to the revenue officials as they have no duties anymore. They are being asked to go to court. The BJP is reminding you (KCR) of your own promise and demands justice for the farmers," said Bandi after the silent protest held by the BJP at Karimnagar on Monday.
The BJP chief also said that the Chief Minister was a man of lies and that the portal was introduced to 'solve a non-existent problem'.
He accused the state government of building police stations, revenue offices and other official buildings on the lands of poor farmers.
He said that forest lands, on which the tribal communities had built their livelihoods, were being taken away by the government. He said that the tribals were facing similar situations like during the British rule. Bandi said that the lands of the tribals were being taken away and that the tribals were being assaulted. He said that the BJP strongly opposed this and asked the Chief Minister to look into this immediately.
The BJP leaders sported black masks and protested for two hours at the party office on Monday. Bandi, who was earlier arrested for protesting, announced two other programmes.
Bandi announced that he would start the third phase of his padayatra from August 2. The route and other details hadn't been decided.
The party would also hold motorcycle rallies in various Assembly constituencies under 'Palle Gosa - BJP Bharosa' from July 21. This would be held in three phases covering 30 constituencies in each phase. The motorcycle rallies would be led by senior BJP leaders who would stay in villages and interact with locals.
