Viral: NTR as one of the possible contenders for the Oscars

RRR has been receiving enormous love from the western audience ever since it premiered on Netflix. Many Hollywood critics, filmmakers, actors and screenwriters have termed it one of the best action films made this year.

Recently, the film's director SS Rajamouli also interacted with the Russo Brothers, the directors of the Avengers: Endgame, and discussed RRR. Such was the popularity RRR gained in the west.

Meanwhile, many Hollywood folks are predicting that RRR will make a big noise in the Awards circuit this year. Recently, it got nominated in multiple categories of the prestigious Saturn Awards.

Now, the film got yet another honour. Acclaimed magazine Variety published a list of predictions for the upcoming Academy Awards. RRR managed to get mentioned in these predictions.

Variety named Jr NTR as one of the possible contenders for the Best Actor Award. SS Rajamouli is named on the list of possible contenders for the Best Director Award. RRR is named on the list of possible contenders for the Best Picture Award.

It is indeed a great honour for the film to get mentioned in these predictions. If at all RRR manages to get a nomination for the Academy Awards, it will be a huge moment for Telugu cinema.
