Yadadri temple grosses huge amount of Rs. 2.32 crore in 25 days through devotees’ offerings

HYDERABAD: The Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple in Yadadri grossed a significant amount of income through the hundi collection over a period of 25 days. Devotees who visited the temple between the January 4 and 28 donated various gifts, including cash, gold, silver, and foreign currency.

The cash collected in the hundi amounted to Rs. 2,32,22,689, besides 230 grams of gold and 4.420 kilograms of silver were also received. In addition, foreign currency in the form of 593 US dollars, 65 UAE dirhams, 65 Australian dollars, 220 Canadian dollars, 10 Singapore dollars, 10 British pounds, 122 South African Rands, 15 European Euros, 400 Omani Rials, 2 Malaysian Ringgits, 23 Qatari Riyals, 100 Thailand Baht, 5 New Zealand Dollars, 1000 Denmark Danish Krone, and 10,00,000 Vietnam Don were gifted in the hundis.

The temple administration, under the guidance of EO Ramakrishna Rao, deposited the amount in the temple treasury.

At the Yadadri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy shrine, special pujas dedicated to Harihara were performed on Monday. The priests, began the day by waking up the Lord and performing rituals such as anointing the Swayambhus with panchamrita (a mixture of five ingredients) and worshiping them leaves of the holy basil plant).

The deities in the temple were adorned beautifully, and Homam (ritual fire ceremony) and Nitya Thirukalyanotsava (celestial wedding) festivals were conducted in the traditional manner. In the evening, Sahasranamrachana continued. Additionally, regular worship to Ramalingeshwar continued in the attached Shiva temple on the hill.
