YS Jagan changes several candidates; incharges for 3 MP seats, 24 MLA seats named, Ministers replaced
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and YSR Congress party president has named 27 leaders as incharges for different Assembly and three Lok Sabha seats.
HYDERABAD: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and YSR Congress party president has named 27 leaders as incharges for different Assembly and three Lok Sabha seats.
He has changed certain sitting MLAs and some MPs have been named incharges for Assembly constituencies. Though efforts were being made to rope in senior leader and Kapu cause champion Mudragada Padamanabham and former MLA Vangaveeti Radhakrishna into the party, the Assembly seats they are considered for were given to the contender Varupula Subba Rao (Prathipadu) — replacing sitting MLA Parvatha Purnachandra Prasad — and Vellampalli Srinivasa Rao (Vijayawada Central) respectively.
Rajahmundry MP Margani Bharat is made incharge of Rajahmundry City.
Sons of three sitting MLAs — Bhumana Karunakara Reddy, Preni Nani and Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy — were nominated in the places of their respective fathers.
The three sons are - Bhumana Abhinay Reddy for Tirupati, Perni Krishna Murthy (Kittu) for Machilipatnam, and Chevireddy Mohit Reddy for Chandragiri Assembly seats.
Paderu MLA K Bhagya Lakshmi has been made incharge of Araku (ST) Lok Sabha seat. J Shantha was named for Hindupur Lok Sabha in the place of sitting MP Gorantla Madhav, Minister P Sankaranarayana for Anantapur Lok Sabha constituency.
Malasala Bharat Kumar has been named as incharge for Anakapalle, as a result of which former Minister Dadi Veerabhadra Rao resigned from the YSR Congress along with his son and would be meeting Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu.
Sitting MLA of Payakaraopet Golla Babu Rao was replaced with Kambala Jogulu. Kakinada MP Vanga Geetha was shifted as incharge of Pithapuram Assembly seat replacing Pendem Dorababu.
Jaggampet MLA Jyothula Chanti Babu was replaced with former minister Thota Narasimham.
Ramachandrapuram MLA and minister Chelluboina Venugopala Krishna was shifted as incharge of Rajahmundry Rural Assembly seat. Pilli Suryaprakash, son of MP Subhashchandra Bose, is nominated as incharge of Ramachandrapuram. Polavaram (ST) MLA Tellam Balaraju was replaced with his family member Rajya Lakshmi.
Minister Adimulapu Suresh has been replaced with T Chandrasekhar in Yerragondapalem (SC) Assembly seat. Yemmiganur MLA K Chennakesava Reddy was dropped and replaced by
Madhani Venkatesh.
