YS Viveka Murder: CBI Court remands YS Bhaskar Reddy to judicial custody
A special court for CBI cases here on Sunday remanded YSRCP MP Avinash Reddy's father YS Bhaskar Reddy to 14 days judicial custody in connection with YS Vivekananda Reddy murder case.

HYDERABAD: A special court for CBI cases here on Sunday remanded YSRCP MP Avinash Reddy's father YS Bhaskar Reddy to 14 days judicial custody in connection with YS Vivekananda Reddy murder case.
The CBI is likely to file a petition in the court seeking custody of Bhaskar Reddy on Monday.
After arresting him, the CBI brought him to the Osmania General Hospital where the doctors examined him for heart functioning and his blood pressure levels.
On noticing that his blood pressure levels were high, the doctors administered him medicines and waited till his BP levels normalised.
After re-examining his BP levels, the CBI produced Bhaskar Reddy before the judge at his house here. The judge remanded him to 14 days judicial custody after examining the medical report.
Speaking to media persons earlier, Avinash Reddy said that CBI was not conducting the probe fairly. "It declared me as an accused even after providing information to the agency," he said.
Vivekananda Reddy's son-in-law Rajasekhar knew more information about the murder, he said, alleging that the agency was not conducting the probe based on facts.
"We are shocked the way Bhaskar Reddy was arrested hurriedly. We will certainly prove our innocence," he said, stating that the CBI was not considering the facts submitted by him.
The names of Bhaskar Reddy and Avinash Reddy figured in the murder case that created sensation in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
The CBI already questioned Avinash Reddy thrice and questioned him in detail at its office in Koti in Hyderabad. He denied the allegations that he was involved in the case
According to CBI, the case is related to the murder of Vvekananda Reddy, a fomer Minister and a former member of Parlianent of Kadapa Constituency.
On the intervening night of March 14 and 15 of 2019, Vivekananda Reddy was brutally murdered in his residence and his body was found in a pool of blood in the bathroom inside his bedroom, Vivekananda Reddy is the younger brother of the late YS Raiasekhan Reddy, who was former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and uncle of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the present Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
