HINDUPUR: YSRCP MP from Hindupur Gorantla Madhav is in the eye of a storm after a video purportedly showing him flashing obscenely at a woman went viral on Thursday. The Parliament Member however brushed aside the scandal calling it a desperate attempt by the TDP to malign his character and cause disrepute to his image.

As per some reports, the MP was allegedly involved in a nude video call with a woman. The video, which has not been verified yet for its authenticity, has been doing the rounds on social media. Netizens, especially those opposing the YSRCP, have been actively spreading it around due to its explosively explicit content.

As per some reports, the MP was seen flashing at the woman during the so-called nude video call. Even as the beleaguered MP vehemently denied doing anything wrong and called it a morphed video, the scandal has caused tremors across the political spectrum in Andhra Pradesh and beyond.

As soon as the video became viral, netizens launched a scathing attack on the YSRCP MP, calling him out for his 'lecherous behaviour' while holding a respectable position of a Parliamentarian.

Gorantla Madhav however tried to put up a brave face amidst the raging storm. Remaining unruffled, he asserted that he was ready for an inquiry into the whole episode. Warning the creators of the video with a defamation suit, he said that he had already lodged a complaint with the Anantapur district superintendent of police and the cyber crime division.

Madhav also named Chintakayala Vijay, Ponnuri Vamsi and Siva Krishna Devarakunta of the TDP as the masterminds behind the video, which, he alleged, was morphed to defame him. He also expressed his readiness for a forensic test to prove his innocence.

TDP demands YS Jagan take action against Madhav

The TDP, not the one to let go off an opportunity to corner the YSRCP in Andhra Pradesh, launched a tirade against the MP and the ruling party. Its woman wing leaders demanded that YSRCP chief and Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy take stern action against Madhav for his behaviour which was a blot on the civil society. They felt that Madhav should be disqualified from his MP position.
