Arjuna-awardee paddler Sreeja Akula meets KTR

HYDERABAD: Sreeja Akula, National champion in Table Tennis - 2022, who received Arjuna Award recently from the President of India Draupadi Murmu, called on Minister for Municipal Administration K T Rama Rao at his camp office on Monday. The minister congratulated Sreeja and promised to take up with Chief Minister KCR her request for a table tennis academy. The minister took a photograph with Sreeja. On a lighter vein, he said this award was heavier to carry. The minister recalled that he was encouraging the paddler since she was 12 years old. He called Telangana Olympic Association president and Principal Secretary IT Jayesh Ranjan to join the photograph.
