HYDERABAD: Telangana Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav has said that the Bonalu festival is recognised and celebrated by people across the world. He has also said that the festival unites everyone.
Talasani along with Ministers Indrakaran Reddy, Mahmood Ali and other officials conducted a review of the Sri Ujjaini Mahankali Ammavari Bonalu Utsavam arrangements slated for July 17 and in Rangam on July 18.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had made Bonalu Telangana's official state festival which was now being celebrated universally.
The Mahankali festival celebrations were being organised on a large scale after the formation of Telangana state.
The Government had sanctioned Rs 15 crores to organise the celebrations and Rs 100 crores were sanctioned by the government for state's development.
In the 2022 Bonalu, devotees are expected to gather in large numbers, like never seen before.
