Bride undergoes surgery, groom marries her on hospital bed in Mancherial

MANCHERIAL: In an uncanny incident that happened in Mancherial, a couple got married in a hospital on Friday.

Reportedly, the bride Sailaja and groom Hatkar Tirupati were scheduled to get married on Thursday at Lambadipalli. However, Sailaja fell ill in the beginning of the week and had to undergo a surgery on Wednesday. Doctors advised that the bride needed bed rest and that the hospital couldn’t discharge her.

Upon hearing this, the groom and the disheartened bride’s family decided to take an unusual step. They convinced the hospital authorities to let them have a wedding in the hospital.

Doctor Phani Kumar, who operated on Sailaja, said that the bride was in a stable condition and agreed for their marriage to be held at the hospital.

With no noise made by family and friends and no pelli melam, their wedding rituals were performed while the bride was on the hospital bed.
