Drenched in rain, Ahobilam forest becomes a sight to behold

NANDYAL: Heavy rains in the last few days have brought deluge and scenic beauty in equal measure to the Ahobilam forest area in Allagadda Mandal of Nandyal District. While the storm water posed a grave concern on one side, it led to waterfalls flowing down from many hilly slopes, instantly turning them into a sight to behold.

"We have not seen rains this heavy in recent times. The waterfalls due to heavy downflow of rainwater are providing a beautiful spectacle, though," said a few locals on this unlikely combination. Rivulet Bhavanshi, which originates from inside the Ahobilam forest, has also turned into a treat to watch.

Tirumala was also not spared from copious rains on Friday. The hill-top temple town also received heavy rainfall. In the midst of rain and foggy conditions, even the seven hills presented a great sight for nature lovers. Devotees visiting the popular pilgrim centre were thrilled to witness the aesthetic scenery.
