Megastar Chiranjeevi has taken potshots at movie directors
HYDERABAD: Megastar Chiranjeevi has taken potshots at movie directors. His ire is directed towards Director Koratala Siva, who had directed Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan-starrer 'Acharya' which concord off at the box office.
The megastar who participated at the prerelease event of the flick 'First Day First Show' directed by Anudeep K V.
Chiranjeevi said that several lives dependent on movie directors. If there was no content in the movie, however big the star cast was or however big the movie was, it would end up as a failed project.
Taking an oblique jibe at the director Koratala Shiva, the megastar said that even he was himself a victim of such movies which had no content.
Chiranjeevi pleasantly surprised the audience by extending his greetings to his younger brother and power star Pawan Kalyan well in advance.
Pawan Kalyan will be celebrating his birthday on September 2. The power star would turn 51 tomorrow. "I extend my greetings to my younger brother Pawan Kalyan. God bless him," said Chiranjeevi amid cheers of audience and fans.
While addressing the confusion existing in the industry about the type of films that becomes a hit or success post-COVID, he explained that content is the only thing that could make the audience sit through the runtime of the film, citing 'Bimbisara' 'Sita Ramam' & 'Karthikeya 2' as the examples.
"Or else, it would shut down in a couple of days," said the actor. He also mentioned that even he was not an exception for this, inciting the failure of 'Acharya.'
