HYDERABAD: In the runup to India's 75th Independence Day, the Indian Coast Guard has recently unveiled the national flag at sea. The underwater demo of the Tricolour, conducted on Friday (July 29) also comes in response to the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign call given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The location of the underwater flag demo was not disclosed. However, the Indian Coast Guard posted a video of the event on Twitter. In a tweet, written in both Hindi and English, it said: "Har Ghar Tiranga, Ajaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. As part of 75 years of India's Independence celebrations, @IndiaCoastGuard performed an underwater flag demo at Sea. This initiative is to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of the people."
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on July 22, gave a call for the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign to exhort all the Indians to display the Tricolour atop their houses and business establishment to commemorate the 'Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav' (celebration of India's 75 years of independence).
