HYDERABAD: The Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) state president Bandi Sanjay has lashed out at Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, on Sunday, stating that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) was ruling the state contrary to the aspirations of the Telangana agitators.

He personally attacked the Chief Minister's family alleging that KTR, Harish Rao and Kalavakuntla Kavitha were fighting for the chief minister's post.

He said that that the BJP must come to power if the aspirations of the activists of Telangana were to be fulfilled.

He said that although the Union Government, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, was cooperating in all possible ways to fund Telangana, KCR was campaigning against the BJP to discredit the Centre.

Bandi Sanjay said that despite continuing to hold important positions in the ruling party and the government, the TRS leaders were resigning and joining the BJP, saying that their aspirations for Telangana were important to them.

Many TRS state leaders and activists joined the BJP in his presence at the party state office. Among them were chairman of the State minimum wage advisory council Sama Venkat Reddy, State leaders of the Telangana region teacher's union and others.

The BJP state president alleged that the State was being run by a family and said that the real aspirations of Telangana people were being ignored. He also took a dig at the KCR Government for the way the policies were being implemented in the state.

The MP had alleged massive irregularities in the irrigation projects built in the state, leading the state into debts from being a surplus state.

He said that the BJP must come to power to maintain peace and security in Telangana and to take tough action against the separatist forces.
