KA Paul sprints at polling booth in Munugode
It seems, there is no stopping KA Paul and his antics in Munugode, even on the polling day for the Assembly by-election
MUNUGODE: It seems, there is no stopping KA Paul and his antics in Munugode, even on the polling day for the Assembly by-election on Thursday. The Praja Shanti Party chief, who is also in the by-election fray as an independent candidate, took everyone by surprise when he sprinted in and out of a polling booth for no apparent reason.
A video of KA Paul's latest act has been going viral on social media. When asked by reporters why ran out of the polling station, he coolly replied that he had to run to monitor the situation at other polling booths. This sent the mediapersons into peels of laughter as they realised that the evangelist-turned-politician was once again playing to the gallery.
Paul's entire election campaign was full of entertaining tactics. Be it dancing with people on numerous occasions, playing cricket, pedalling a cycle in the attire of a farmer or even flashing ornamental rings on his 10 fingers from atop his car, he tried every trick in the book to stay in the limelight in the midst of high-voltage campaigning by other parties.
In one of his roadshows, KA Paul was seen appealing to the people to vote for the 'ring symbol' while promising to transform Munugode into another United States. Whether the mercurial figure was serious about his contest or not or he is taken seriously or not by the electorate, he certainly has made his presence felt with his antics throughout the campaigning phase.
