HYDERABAD: BRS working president and Minister for IT and Industries KT Rama Rao (KTR) who has been busily campaigning for the upcoming Assembly elections in Telangana took everyone by surprise and traveled in the metro rail between Raidurgam and Begumpet stations here.
KTR participated in a ‘Real Estate Summit 2023’ at Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) on Friday. After attending the summit, KTR boarded a metro rail at Raidurgam. During his 20-minute journey in the metro, he interacted with passengers, especially with youth who were excited to find KTR traveling along with them.
Two girl students pursuing intermediate and MBBS courses interacted with KTR. Another passenger working in a biotechnology company in Germany met the IT Minister and took a selfie with him. He thanked KTR for transforming Hyderabad as a hub in biotechnology on a par with Germany. At Jubilee Hills check post, a few girl students from Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district had a chit chat with KTR.
The girl students informed the IT Minister that they completed medical coding training in Hyderabad after gathering information and employment opportunities from their friends. KTR wished them success in their future.
Apart from youth, women and elderly people also interacted with the Minister. A tourist from Kerala told KTR that he was traveling in Hyderabad for the last three days after learning its prominence on the internet.
The tourist expressed his joy with KTR and appreciated his efforts for developing Hyderabad on a par with cities abroad. In return, KTR asked the tourist if he recognised him. The tourist told him that there was a debate in Kerala when Kitex Group announced its investment in Telangana. During his commute, KTR also interacted with employees from IT and its allied sectors.
KTR urged the IT employees and first time voters to spare some time on polling day to exercise their right to franchise on November 30, 2023 and elect an able leader for their future. Several youth hailed the initiatives taken by the BRS Government and enthusiastic individuals also competed themselves to take a selfie with KTR during his metro ride.
