MUNUGODE: Telangana Minister for Municipal and Urban Development K T Rama Rao (KTR), who participated in the nomination process of TRS candidate for Munugode by-election Koosukuntla Prabhakar Reddy on Thursday, made a surprise visit to the house of fluorosis victim Amshala Swamy in Sivannagudem. Amshala Swamy was incidentally one of those who received financial assistance from KTR in the past.
On knowing the plight of Swamy, who was affected by fluorosis, KTR had come to his rescue in his personal capacity by extending financial assistance. He also got Rs 5.50 lakhs sanctioned from the State Government for a double-bedroom house and even helped in the completion of its construction. As per KTR's instructions, senior leader Karnati Vidyasagar of the TRS supervised the works related to the construction of the house.
During his visit on Thursday, KTR enquired about the well-being of Swamy and his parents and assured them that he would support the family in the future as well.
