MUNUGODE: It appears, BJP National President J P Nadda is fast becoming the favourite punching bag for the electorate of Munugode Assembly constituency where a by-election will be held on November 3. After the widely publicised mockery of the BJP chief over the unfulfilled promise of building a hospital, a fresh video has surfaced in social media featuring people from all walks of life mirroring a swarm of failed promises with placards.

In the video, The people of the constituency were seen questioning Nadda about the promised 300-bed hospital in Munugode, which remains a distant dream till date. "Will the 5 percent GST on handloom textiles be withdrawn?", one of the slogans on the placards screamed. Referring to the fluoride issue, the villagers wondered what had happened to the research centre promised by the BJP to resolve the issue. "When will the NITI Aayog-sanctioned money for Mission Bhageeratha be released?", read another slogan. The farmers were seen holding placards that read, "Will meters be fixed to motors?"

The video, which has been grabbing eyeballs, was posted on social media by TRS leader Krishank.

JP Nadda was originally scheduled to visit Munugode on October 31 as part of BJP's election campaign but had cancelled his visit, reportedly to avoid the political storm stirred by the poaching scandal. The voters of Munugode are set to cast their vote on November 3.
