Oust Revanth Reddy from TPCC top job, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy
Lok Sabha MP from Bhongir Komatireddy Venkat Reddy has demanded that TPCC president A Revanth Reddy be ousted from the post immediately
HYDERABAD: Lok Sabha MP from Bhongir Komatireddy Venkat Reddy has demanded that TPCC president A Revanth Reddy be ousted from the post immediately.
Similarly, he has suggested that a senior leader like former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamalnath as Telangana incharge.
Venkat Reddy went on to say on Monday that TPCC would get debilitated and eventually perish, if people like Revanth Reddy was retained in the coveted position.
The MP's remarks came close on the heels of his younger sibling Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy joined the BJP at a huge public meeting addressed by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
It may be recalled that Venkat Reddy had met Amit Shah the same day as his younger brother did, but with a different purpose.
He had claimed that he had no intention of quitting the Congress and that he would remain in the party and fight.
Expecting Venkat Reddy too to call it quits, a Congress leader Addanki Dayakar had used foul words against the MP launching a vituperative against him.
This evoked a sharp reaction from Venkat Reddy who demanded an open apology from Revanth Reddy. The PCC chief got Dayakar tender an apology and Revanth himself apologised.
However, the MP did not relent and went on continuing his tirade against the Telangana Congress leadership.
The latest remakes buttress the speculation that he might not continue in the crisis-ridden party for too long.
