Pawan Kalyan makes it official: Jana Sena snaps ties with NDA, supports TDP

VIJAYAWADA: Actor and Jana Sena Party (JSP) president Pawan Kalyan has officially declared that he has come out of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) to support Chandrababu Naidu-led TDP as it was going through a difficult phase.

Speaking at a public meeting at Pedana in Krishna District on Wednesday, Pavan Kalyan said, "Despite being part of the NDA, I came out of the alliance when the perception was growing that the TDP has become weak. TDP is an experienced party and Andhra Pradesh needs it for good governance, for the development of the State. TDP needs young blood support of Janasainks in this situation. If TDP and Jana Sena join hands YS Jagan will be crushed in the State."

On September 14, Pawan Kalyan had visited Chandrababu Naidu in the Rajahmundry Central Jail where the latter has been lodged after he was sent to judicial custody in the skill development scam.

Jana Sena party chief Pawan Kalyan had attended a meeting of the NDA held in Delhi on July 18. Speaking after the meeting the actor, politician said that his party would support PM Modi's vision.

Pawan Kalyan had also proposed an alliance of TDP, BJP, and his party in Andhra Pradesh to fight YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's YSRCP in Andhra Pradesh. The BJP however never took a decision on this. Now Pawan Kalyan has decided that his party would no longer be part of the NDA.
