HYDERABAD: The South Central Railway (SCR) has cancelled and diverted few trains fearing submergence of tracks in the Hasanparthi-Kazipet route due to the very rains that lashed the Warangal, Bhupalpally and Mulugu belt during the past 24 hours.
Sirpur Kaghaznagar-Secunderabad (17234) and Secunderabad-Sirpur Kaghaznagar (17233) were completely cancelled. The 12791 Secunderabad-Danapur, 12625 Tiruvanantapuram-New Delhi, 03252 Bengaluru-Danapur, 12656 Chennai Central-Ahmedabad, 16031 Chennai Central-Katra, and 22535 Rameswaram-Banaras were diverted mostly via Vijayawada with changed stoppages.
The 22647 Korba-Kochuveli, 12724 New Delhi-Hyderabad, 22692 Hazrat Nizamuddin-Bengaluru, 20806 Nizamuddin-Visakhapatnam , 12792 Danapur-Secunderabad, 12976 Jaipur-Mysuru and 20481 Bhagat Ki Koti-Tiruchirapalli were diverted mostly through Ballarshah.
Meanwhile, atleast one feet of water submerged the railways tracks at the Kazipet railway station, a crucial junction between north and south India.
