TRS MLC Kavita warns Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Arvind of slapping with a slipper

HYDERABAD: TRS MLC Kavitha Kalvakuntla on Friday revealed that members of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its affiliated organisations beckoned her to join the saffron party as part of the 'Shinde Model'.

"There have been proposals by friends of BJP and friendly organisations of the BJP, asking me to join the party. And they proposed a model called '(Eknath) Shinde model. I said Telangana people do not cheat their own state. Telangana people do not betray their own parties and their own leader. We will become leaders on our own strength, not through backdoor. We have rejected their proposal very politely," she said while addressing a press conference at Telangana Bhavan on Friday.

"My leader, my life forever, is Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao," asserted the MLC, who is also the daughter of KCR. She also said that she was too decent a politician to fall for such a bait. "I'm a decent politician who wants to stay in politics for a long time. We have rejected their proposal politely. What they will do after that is a different story," the TRS leader stated.

In a fiery reaction to the comments made by BJP MP Dharmapuri Aravind, MLC Kavitha warned that she would beat him with her slippers if he did not stop his attempts to malign her. "I will hit Aravind with Chappal at Nizamabad Chowrasta for stooping so low to insinuate that I was in contact with Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge."

"From now on, I will haunt him by contesting against him in the elections wherever he goes and make sure he is defeated," she vowed.

Nizamabad MP Aravind Dharmapuri allegedly made controversial remarks about MLC Kavitha, claiming that she was in contact with Mallikarjuna Kharge and planned to join the party soon.

Interestingly, Kavitha's startling revelations on the alleged poaching attempts by the BJP comes within a week of her father and TRS supremo KCR claiming the same at a party meeting. Revealing that the BJP was also trying to lure his daughter, he exhorted his partymen to work hard for the defeat of the BJP across Telangana.
