UoH Professor Samar Kumar Das elected to Indian National Science Academy
Prof. Samar Das did his PhD from IIT-Kanpur and postdoctoral research from Ohio State University
HYDERABAD: Professor at the School of Chemistry, University of Hyderabad (UoH) Prof. Samar Kumar Das is elected fellow to the Indian National Science Academy (INSA), New Delhi World Economic Forum, to happen on January 1 2023, for his significant contributions in the field of Chemistry.
Prof. Das contributed significantly in the area of functional inorganic materials based on polyoxometalates, metal carboxylates, metal organic framework containing compounds, metal coordination complexes including dithiolate ligands, and applied those for sensing or detection of toxic substances, chiral separation, proton conductivity and electrocatalysis including electrocatalytic water splitting and oxygen reduction reaction.
Prof. Samar Das did his PhD from IIT-Kanpur and postdoctoral research from Ohio State University (USA) and University of Bielefeld (Germany). Prof. Das joined the University of Hyderabad in the year 2000 and his research interests were in Functional Inorganic Materials
