1,611 Kg of ganja worth Rs 4 crore destroyed in Khammam

KHAMMAM: Excise officials in Khammam district destroyed 1,611.94 kilograms of ganja, estimated to be worth Rs 4 crore, on Friday.

The seized ganja was collected from four police station limits under the excise department's jurisdiction.

The officials carried out the destruction in compliance with legal procedures for narcotics disposal. The ganja was burned in the presence of officials to prevent any further illegal circulation. Authorities estimate the value of the destroyed contraband at approximately Rs 4 crore.
