Andhra Pradesh student dies by suicide at NIT Patna, protests erupt on campus

HYDERABAD: A BTech student from Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh, studying at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Patna, Bihar, died by suicide. The student, Pallavi Reddy, was found hanging in her hostel room.

Following her death, students on campus staged protests against the NIT administration, raising slogans and expressing their anger at the institute's handling of student welfare. The protesting students demanded accountability from the administration, criticising the institute's staff for their alleged negligence.
