Nursing student found dead in suspicious circumstances in Gachibowli hotel
A nursing student was found dead in a hotel room in Gachibowli under suspicious circumstances. Her family suspects foul play.
HYDERABAD: A nursing student was found dead at a hotel in Gachibowli under suspicious circumstances on Monday.
The victim was identified as Shruti from Jadcherla in Mahabubnagar district. She was found hanging in her room at the Redstone Hotel.
The police reached the location after receiving information and recovered her body. They registered a case of suspicious death due to bloodstains and medicine bottles found in the room. The room was also found in a disorganised state which led to suspicion of a struggle.
Shruti’s family claimed that she was sexually assaulted and then hanged to make it look like a suicide. Her parents protested outside the hotel and blocked the ambulance carrying her body. They demanded justice and action against those responsible for Shruti's death.
The police have reportedly detained two people for questioning. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
