Two youths die in bike accident after Bathukamma celebrations in Warangal

WARANGAL: Two young men lost their lives in a bike accident after participating in Bathukamma celebrations in Warangal district.

The accident occurred in Kishtapuram village, Rayaparthi Mandal. According to local reports, the victims, identified as Raju (20), son of former village sarpanch Yerram Srinivas Lalitha, and Anvesh (18), son of Edunoori Yakayya Kalyani, were returning to their friend’s house in Katravalli on a bike.

In the early hours of Friday, as they neared Thodela Banda Thanda near Vankudothu Thanda, the bike lost control and collided with a tree. Both youths died on the spot.

Upon receiving information, SI Shravan Kumar arrived at the scene and registered a case based on complaints from the parents of the deceased. The bodies were shifted to a government hospital for postmortem. The untimely deaths of Raju and Anvesh have left their families devastated, with their parents inconsolable in grief.

Further investigations are underway to determine the exact cause of the accident.
