HYDERABAD: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) on Tuesday paid floral tributes to Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav who passed away on Monday. The Telangana Chief Minister visited Mulayam's home town Saifai in Uttar Pradesh and paid his last respects by placing a wreath on the mortal remains of the departed leader before he was laid to rest.

KCR's daughter and MLC K Kavitha and Telangana Minister Thalasani Srinivas Yadav were among the contingent that accompanied the Chief Minister to Saifai. KCR also consoled former UP chief minister and Mulayam's son Akhilesh Yadav on this occasion.

TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu also attended Mulayam Singh Yadav's funeral which was performed with full state honours. The UP government of Yogi Adityanath has announced a three-day mourning as a mark of respect for the Samajwadi Party founder.
