Priest among six arrested for demolition of Anjaneya Swami Temple in Chittoor

CHITTOOR: The demolition of the Abhaya Anjaneya Swami temple in Molakalacheruvu, Chittoor, has been linked to a dispute between two priests.

The incident occurred on October 14, when a disagreement over temple funds between the temple's main priest, Vidyasagar, and another priest, Harinath, escalated into violence.

Police investigations revealed that Harinath was allegedly responsible for the destruction of the temple.

Six individuals have been arrested in connection with the case. Authorities also confiscated a car, explosive materials, and iron tools from the suspects. The investigation is still ongoing as officials work to uncover more details.
